The woman seems to be waiting with a long neck for the man who escaped. I read a book and used a kiseru (traditional Japanese pipe) to express her attitude.

In Chinese old books, it is said that the nine-tailed fox a sacred beast sent from heaven. Also, in the story, it is said to be the true identity of a bad being who turns into a beautiful woman and misleads people's world.
