Phuntsho Wangdi

Born in Mongar, Kingdom of Bhutan. Partly due to the influence of his paternal great-grandfather, who was a Buddhist priest and a master of traditional art, he became interested in the work of a painter from an early age and started working part-time as a mural painter. In 2007, he entered the Bhutan National Institute of Traditional Crafts, Department of Buddhist Painting, aiming to become a professional traditional painter. //After that, he moved to Japan in 2018 and opened the “Bhutanese Traditional Art Studio”. // His creations are based on peace of mind. For example, just as beautiful flowers heal the heart, beautiful art also heals the heart. He hopes that many people will feel peace and hope through his art. // Now, it is very meaningful to have traditional Japanese techniques, high-quality materials, and the latest modern technology close at hand. It means "fusion of tradition and modernity". // The greatest challenge in life is to express the ultimate beauty with honesty and respect.
