Akira Igarashi's Artworks
Akira Igarashi
While studying ancient sumi ink painting techniques, I am working on original techniques while making the best use of the handmade Japanese paper and the taste of ink.
Joined a design company as an illustrator, and later worked as a freelance illustrator and established, Akira Igarashi Office. Works in various media such as the publishing industry and the television industry.
Started producing illustrations specializing in sumi ink and exhibited at many overseas art fairs.
Currently, moved to a suburb of Ogawa-machi, Saitama Prefecture, a Japanese paper-making village that makes Hosokawa paper, which has become a World Heritage, and is currently engaged in production activities.
The manga version "Sankai" is being serialized in a WEB comic/comic border.

Currently, the “Sankai” manga version, Volume 1 and Volume 2, is now on sale.
Also, every Monday, in the Mainichi Newspaper, a series of my illustrations is being published in the political columnist Takao Yamada's famous column "Fuchisou".
